Agile Delivery Manager

About The Position

We are hiring an Agile Delivery Manager on our Application Services team at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee! In this role, you will serve as a strategic Agile leader responsible for driving Agile maturity, delivery consistency, and continuous improvement across approximately 10 technology teams supporting critical enterprise platforms and services. You will partner closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, engineers, and leadership to improve planning, prioritization, and execution while ensuring teams remain aligned to shared organizational objectives. This position coaches teams on Agile best practices, serving as a key leader across an organization of approximately 70 technology professionals. You will influence delivery strategy, facilitate quarterly planning, improve backlog quality, and help leaders gain visibility into delivery progress and organizational outcomes. Your work will directly impact teams that provide foundational services across the enterprise. To be successful in this role, you'll bring deep expertise in Agile methodologies and demonstrated experience coaching Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and technical teams through organizational change. The ideal candidate can influence without formal authority, translate complex technical initiatives into actionable work, and help elevate delivery practices across a large, multi-team technology organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or commensurate experience in a professional environment, required.
• 1 year - Leading requirements development efforts required
• 5 years - Experience in Information Technology required
• 1 year - Advanced experience with operational analysis, design and understanding of integrated, interdependent and interfaced systems and their impacts on each other.
• Knowledge of information technology concepts, application development methodology, terminology, and standards to actively conduct and/or engage in hardware and software related discussions relative to all assigned projects.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel.
• Outstanding negotiation, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

Nice To Haves

• Experience serving in an Agile leadership role
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices
• Experience facilitating quarterly planning, backlog refinement, stakeholder alignment, delivery metrics, and Agile reporting through Azure DevOps.
• Demonstrated experience coaching Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and delivery teams in Agile best practices
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to assess requirements for completeness, accuracy, and implementation readiness
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to work effectively with technical teams, business partners, and senior leadership
• Agile/Scrum Master Certifications are a plus but not required

Responsibilities

• Providing senior level consulting services to internal business groups on process improvement projects designed to improve their business results.
• Analyzing, defining and documenting clients requirements, and revising existing systems logic challenges, as necessary.
• Monitoring client experiences and feedback on the use of business applications; Enhancing system productivity, as needed.
• Participating in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
