About The Position

Operate heavy equipment at aggregate production sites to produce and handle stone, gravel, and sand for infrastructure projects. The role involves feeding raw material into crushing and screening equipment, monitoring material flow and product quality, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with plant supervisors, truck drivers, and ground personnel. Work includes general labor tasks and takes place outdoors in potentially extreme weather, dusty conditions, and high-noise, high-traffic environments. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on production needs.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment; aggregate or mining experience is preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
Commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
Ability to work independently or as part of a production team.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks.
Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and dusty conditions.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods, climb on equipment and ladders, operate machinery, navigate tight areas, make a rapid emergency egress, and sit for extended periods.
Strong focus and situational awareness in high-noise, high-traffic environments.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with loaders, crushers, or screeners.
Equipment certifications.
High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Operate loaders, crushers, screeners, and haul trucks at aggregate production sites.
Feed raw material into crushing and screening equipment safely and efficiently.
Monitor material flow, adjust machine settings, and ensure the final product meets quality standards.
Perform pre-shift inspections and routine equipment maintenance, and report mechanical issues.
Coordinate closely with plant supervisors, truck drivers, and ground personnel.
Follow safety protocols, company policies, and environmental regulations.
Assist with general labor, including shoveling, cleanup, and equipment adjustments.
