Summer Internship Program 2027 - Agentic AI Data Science Intern
About The Position
The Agentic AI Data Science Intern will contribute to developing generative and agentic AI solutions by supporting model experimentation, integration, and research for real-world business use cases. The ICE Internship Program combines hands-on project work with professional development, weekly sessions led by industry leaders, opportunities to connect with fellow interns, and exposure to the financial services, technology, and mortgage industries. The internship runs on one of two schedules: May 24, 2027–August 6, 2027, or June 7, 2027–August 20, 2027. Interns must work full-time, five days a week, at the Jacksonville office for the entire duration of one selected schedule. Partial participation and alternate dates cannot be accommodated.
Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at an accredited university and be at least advancing to their junior year of study.
- Must be pursuing a degree in computer science, data science, AI/ML, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Exposure to NLP/NLU concepts, small language models, vector databases, and retrieval systems such as GraphRAG.
- Interest in agentic AI and multi-agent systems, including Model Context Protocol (MCP), agent-to-agent (A2A) communication, ontologies, and knowledge graphs.
- Comfort using Git/GitHub and development environments such as Jupyter Notebooks or VS Code.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn and experiment.
- Must be available to work full-time, five days a week, at the Jacksonville office for the entire duration of one designated program schedule.
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to tools such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or FastAPI.
Responsibilities
- Assist in advancing generative AI and agentic AI solutions through rapid prototyping, model experimentation, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
- Support integration of AI solutions with enterprise applications and data platforms.
- Support development of applications using LLMs, embeddings, and prompt engineering.
- Collaborate on research and experimentation in areas such as NLP, retrieval systems, knowledge graphs, and multi-agent systems; document findings and participate in agile workflows.
- Perform additional duties and contribute to projects as assigned.
