About The Position

This job is located at A&F Co. stores in Topanga and Northridge fashion centers. The Agent/Investigator, Asset Protection is responsible for the execution of Asset Protection initiatives in assigned locations (5-10 stores), as well as, implementation of shortage reduction programs in high shrink location(s). This role provides in person and remote support to local store management to meet strategic asset protection objectives. The position performs operational audits of store districts focusing on sales floor fullness, stockroom organization, health and safety, human resources compliance and customer service. There is routine monthly travel to Focus Stores. The role manages the Focus Store program to ensure store compliance and follow up on sub-standard performers. The Agent/Investigator provides clear and consistent training to all store personnel on Asset Protection Initiatives, safety communication guidelines and current crisis management protocols. This role commits to the highest degree of professionalism, integrity, and customer service. The Agent/Investigator completes AP and Physical Security audits on a routine basis and special projects as assigned by the Regional Manager of Asset Protection. The role optimizes inventory accuracy through effective execution and management of physical inventories, store transfer monitoring and OMNI compliance. It facilitates supply chain investigations to positively impact inbound carton loss and forced carton compliance. The Agent/Investigator proactively monitors systems and conducts surveillance to identify and investigate associate dishonesty. This role conducts internal investigations for inventory, cash loss, and violations of policy, and prepares case reports covering investigation and case details. The Agent/Investigator manages initial investigative processes for all internal investigations within assigned alignment and the District when applicable. It serves as a liaison between store/APA investigations and certified market interviewers, and supports investigations related to internal loss throughout the assigned region while partnering with GHO Analysts. The role conducts surveillance using CCTV and floor techniques to apprehend and deter theft in accordance with company apprehension policies. It initiates and resolves investigations related to Organized Retail Crime while partnering with law enforcement and other retail organizations, and represents the company in court proceedings related to investigations. The Agent/Investigator maintains an effective relationship with store leaders, peer retailers, mall security and local law enforcement partners. The role provides clear and consistent training to all store personnel on safety communication guidelines, acts of violence, and current crisis management protocols. It utilizes analytics software to develop specific store loss prevention strategies and participates in corporate operational test programs to gauge viability of program evolution. The Agent/Investigator provides relevant observational data to the Global Home Office to inform policy decisions. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate execution of Store Programs and routinely provides relevant feedback to store leaders regarding operational efficiency. It effectively identifies and implements solutions to eliminate store margin erosion and supports new stores through physical store visitation and pre-open audits to ensure smooth and timely openings.

Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in Asset Protection, multi-location experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to evaluate circumstances and make timely decisions based on company apprehension guidelines.
  • Ability to work nights, evenings and weekends appropriate to retail business needs.
  • Must pass a comprehensive background investigation.
  • Must have a reliable means of transportation.
