Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant post-secondary education or experience.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients
  • Excellent organization skills and be a proactive problem solver
  • Ability to manage own time and priorities workload to meet internal and external expectations
  • Must be proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good interpersonal and teamworking skills required

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the activities of the maritime export department to ensure courteous and efficient customer service while maintaining a competitive cost structure for both CEVA Logistics and our clients.
  • Keep clients informed of the status of their shipment.
  • Receive orders from clients after analyzing their needs.
  • Make reservations with shipping lines.
  • Verify documents (B13, commercial bill, certificate of origin, credit letter, permit, etc.) to ensure that they conform to the customs regulations at origin as well as at destination.
  • Open files for shipment and enter data in the operational system according to the ISO standards of the company.
  • Update events in the Cargowise system.
  • Organize shipments and deliveries according to reservations.
  • Transmit notices and documentation to the client, overseas agent, or recipient.
  • Keep shipment files and overseas clients and overseas agents/recipient updated.
  • Invoice clients and ensure that all charges for services rendered are included and that rates are billed according to the agreement. (Renegotiate the rates to increase profitability)
  • Issue non conformity notices and customer complaints in accordance with ISO procedures.
  • Tracking shipments to destination, including transfer of shipments.
  • Other duties as requested by the immediate supervisor.
