About The Position

The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire an Agency Management Lead Analyst in our Strategic Planning and Research Division at State Police Headquarters in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to: Analyzing organizational issues and preparing comprehensive studies and reviews pertaining to all facets of Department operations. Investigating new and emerging trends and exploring opportunities for advancing the Department’s strategic objectives. Maintaining the Department's continuity plan and coordinating the annual continuity exercise, and developing, tracking, and completing after-action recommendations and tasks.

Requirements

• Knowledge of research techniques and methodologies.
• Knowledge of project management.
• Knowledge of organizational management/operation principles.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis/interpretation and continuity planning.
• Knowledge of software applications.
• Skills in the operation of PC/mainframe applications.
• Ability to lead and direct the work of others.
• Ability to analyze complex data, document strategies, and formulate alternative solutions.
• Ability to develop and interpret policies and procedures.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments with critical deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing in English.
• Experience or training in administration of justice, public administration, or a related field.
• Progressively responsible experience in planning and project management and in analyzing organizational issues.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
