About The Position

This temporary position is located at 1915 Health Services Way, Raleigh, NC 27606 - Wake County, with the Department of Health and Human Services. Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $26.45(Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application). Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, typically in Human Resources or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and 2 years of experience required; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Provide administrative support to HR Business Partners, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, presentations, and correspondence, and managing records, on the HR Business Partner’s behalf.
  • Managing HR documentation such as job descriptions, organizational charts, and policy updates.
  • Tracks and provides details and/or status updates of various HR requests (ex. class/comp, OM, recruitment, etc.).
  • Follows up on “AskHR” requests.
  • Completes requests for verbal employment verifications.
  • Completes Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) requests.
  • Assists with planning and execution of HR-related events and workshops.
  • Assists employees, managers, and the general public with miscellaneous questions and directs them to the appropriate staff or self-service portal as needed.
  • Submits requests for assistance (tickets) with DHHS technology systems (ServiceNow, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Attends meetings with/for HRBP to gather information and serve as scribe for meeting notes for distribution.
