About The Position

Moon Valley Nurseries is seeking a versatile Ag Yard Utility professional to support various aspects of nursery operations and customer service. This role involves equipment maintenance, yard organization, and customer assistance. The position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the retail yard. Requirements

Ability to perform manual labor.
Ability to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.
Demonstrated availability to work any day of the week.
Subject to MVR and criminal background check in accordance with applicable fair chance laws, rules, and regulations.
Regularly required to verbally exchange information with colleagues, managers and vendors.
Must frequently reach for, pull, lift, and/or move items weighing up to and over 75 lbs.
Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions, including rain, heat, sun, and wind.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with operating power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with organizing and maintaining the nursery yard to ensure a clean, orderly, and attractive appearance.
Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on nursery equipment, including vehicles, forklifts, and hand tools.
Ensure that all equipment is in proper working condition and safe to use.
Assist with loading and unloading plants, trees, and other nursery products into a variety of vehicles.
Provide friendly and helpful customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines while performing tasks in the yard.
Transport and mix soil, fertilizer, peat, and other soil conditioning materials using hand tools.
Dig, rake, and sift soil to fill buckets and boxes for planting.
Other duties and tasks as assigned.
