About The Position

This role is responsible for prioritizing member/customer service, ensuring prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service. The position involves managing stock reception, pricing, and coding, as well as maintaining various administrative reports related to sales, claims, and inventory. The coordinator works closely with the Facility Manager and Ag Team to ensure adequate supplies support divisional sales goals, reports on sales and inventory, and optimizes freight. A key aspect of the role is forecasting and managing supplier programs and 'blackbox' monies, while also understanding transportation options to balance costs. The position requires cross-training on all job duties, assisting other team members, and operating a forklift and front till as needed. Adherence to co-operative policies, including health and safety, is mandatory. The role also involves assisting with invoicing and performing other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Office Administration/Accounting Certificate, Ag Certificate/Diploma or a combination of education/experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal, written and telephone
  • Ability to provide meaningful contributions in a team environment.
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Detail and accuracy driven
  • Ability to work effectively with other staff, supervisors and customers
  • Able to obtain Forklift Certification
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Prior retail experience in an agricultural environment would be considered an asset
  • Previous accounting/customer service background would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize member/customer service, ensuring prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.
  • Ensure stock is received, priced and coded correctly as directed by management.
  • Maintain vista receiving book, claims, sales, transfers and cutoff reports.
  • Complete cutoff in consultation with Facility Manager.
  • Ensure adequate supplies support divisional sales goals under the direction from the Facility Manager and Ag Team.
  • Report on area sales and product inventories on a bi-weekly, or as directed basis to Facility Manager and Ag Team, including inventory levels relative to sales forecasts.
  • Maintain historical order information.
  • Organize and optimize freight.
  • Ensure adequate supplies are ordered with direction from Facility Manager, Ag Division Manager, and Sales Team.
  • Ensure focus is maintained on maximizing supplier programs in conjunction with the Facility Manager and Ag Team.
  • Develop, track, and maintain a model that effectively and accurately forecasts ‘blackbox’ monies in conjunction with the Facility Manager and Ag Team.
  • Understand and communicate transportation options such that cost minimization relation to transportation is balanced against stock out costs.
  • Ensure cross training occurs on all jobs duties/tasks.
  • Assist the CSR, Facility Assistant, and Ag Sales Team as required.
  • Operate Forklift as required.
  • Operate Front Till as required.
  • Adhere to all co-operative policies and procedures; including but not limited to health and safety.
  • Assist with invoicing as times permits.
  • Perform other duties as required.
