About The Position

Airgas is hiring for a Cylinder Filler II in Belton, TX. This role involves applying the compression temperature/pressure method to fill various high-pressure cylinders, including Industrial, Medical, and mixed gases. The position operates on a Monday - Friday schedule from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm.

Requirements

Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to perform very heavy work - routinely lifts 25 - 75 lbs., and occasionally lifts 76 to greater than 100 lbs. with the aid of a lifting device.
Ability to read and comprehend all written and computer generated documentation.
The ability to operate forklift and become forklift certified.

Responsibilities

Filling high-pressure cylinders (Industrial, Medical, and Mixes) following the compression temperature/pressure method.
Operate and safely maintain equipment for pumping or repackaging gases into cylinders.
Perform all required pre-fill and post-fill inspections and verify safety through tests before cylinders are released.
Attends to the condition of cylinders—ensuring those requiring maintenance or repair are set aside for care until they are ready for use.
Regularly inspect and maintain pumping apparatus and associated pressure gauges and monitoring devices to ensure reliable operation.
Fill cylinders or containers to the target pressure or weight, whichever is appropriate.
Ensure cylinder filling records are accurately maintained and that you remain guided by established procedures in order to meet the standards of local, state, and federal regulations.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks and/or trailers as a valued part of the logistics flow.
Support the team with inventory and general housekeeping, and provide support to customers when necessary.
