The AG Lead plays a critical role in leading production teams, supporting process execution, and maintaining operational stability. This role is accountable for safety, quality, uptime, and production performance through leadership, technical awareness, and hands-on involvement. AG Leads are expected to operate equipment, perform routine troubleshooting and resets, and make real-time decisions within established operating parameters. The role requires judgment to determine when to independently act and when to escalate more complex issues. While not a fully qualified Plastic Technician, the AG Lead is expected to demonstrate independent capability in operating equipment and maintaining process stability within established limits. This role is expected to perform routine machine operations, adjustments, and resets, troubleshoot common process and equipment issues independently, take ownership of the press, process, and product within the assigned area, and make real-time operational decisions to support safe and efficient production. This role partners with Plastic Technicians, Maintenance, and Supervisors for complex troubleshooting and process optimization, major equipment issues or repairs, advanced technical decision-making outside established parameters, and training and development.
