About The Position

We are seeking a Skilled Combine Mechanic to join our dedicated maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various models of combine harvesters, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for our clients. Additionally, you could be asked to perform the same tasks on other agricultural equipment as assigned by the Service Manager.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in agriculture mechanics or related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience working with combine harvesters or agricultural equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills with a focus on diagnostics.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Have or be able to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Certificate

Nice To Haves

Experience with precision agriculture technology and modern combine systems.
Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools and software.
Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of combine harvesters / other agricultural equipment to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, and adjustments on combine or agricultural machinery.
Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems, employing advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Performs diagnostics in the field as required.
Responsible for complete and thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders and on time submittal of information.
Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
Collaborate with farmers and operators to understand their concerns and provide tailored solutions.
Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in combine machinery and agricultural equipment to enhance service delivery.
Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities as well as maintaining a clean work area while performing work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Additional duties as assigned.
