About The Position
East Cooper Montessori Charter School (ECMCS) is seeking an Afterschool Teacher for their program in Mount Pleasant, SC. This part-time, hourly position operates daily from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM, with potential for growth. The role also includes availability on teacher workdays and half days for staff childcare. The primary goal is to support working families by providing an enriching and safe environment for children after the regular school day. The position involves facilitating activities such as outdoor games, board games, art projects, and supporting students' social and emotional growth, aligning with the school's Montessori approach.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching or managing students
- True passion for growing students' abilities
- Skilled in interpersonal relations with students, parents, teachers, staff, and the general public
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Love the art of education and instructional design
- Team-oriented
- Compassionate and caring while able to maintain professional boundaries
Nice To Haves
- Experience with both elementary and middle school students is preferred
