About The Position
PJA Afterschool is looking for creative, compassionate, and energetic educators who want to make a real impact in the lives of school-age kids. We are currently hiring afterschool staff for our WEST side locations: SW - Multnomah Village, SW - Sylvan, NW - Forest Heights. This role is an opportunity to be a mentor and role model while helping students build confidence, curiosity, and strong relationships.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- Enrollment in the Central Background Registry
- 240 hours of experience working with youth, or AA/BA in education, child development, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Planning and leading enrichment activities and curriculum
- Supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic development
- Creating a positive and inclusive environment
- Collaborating with staff, families, and the community
- Ensuring student safety and well-being at all times
- Responsibility for maintaining a clean and safe space
