Afterschool Supervisor for STEM Program
About The Position
Black Rocket is seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to work as seasonal supervisors for their technology programs. This role involves supervising instructors, interacting with students, parents, and program directors, and ensuring the smooth operation of STEM programs. The position is seasonal, requiring approximately 15-25 hours per week for the entire school year, following the local school district schedule. Black Rocket provides training for this role, which may require availability on some evenings and weekends. The company focuses on technology and digital arts enrichment programs for children and young adults, emphasizing self-empowerment, cognitive reasoning, and divergent thinking through hands-on learning.
Requirements
- Experience with managing schedules or events
- Experience managing adults
- Evidence of strong people skills
- Comfortable traveling throughout the Fullerton School District, including multiple school sites in a day/week
- Experience managing adults, preferably in an education setting
- Experience managing schedules or planning events
- Comfortable with a range of technology
- Reliable transportation to multiple sites within your region throughout the day
- Ability to transfer up to 30 lbs of equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of effective instructional practices
- Comfortable giving feedback to and evaluating teachers
- Able to commit to the whole school year
- Available to start training immediately
Nice To Haves
- Completed or working towards supervisor or principal certification
- Background as a school supervisor, school administrator, teacher leader, or similar
- Classroom experience
- Knowledge of effective instructional practices
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong tech background
