About The Position
A family in Tribeca is seeking a wonderful after-school nanny/educator or tutor for their 11-year-old son entering 6th grade at a competitive school. The schedule is Monday through Friday 3pm-7pm for about 20 hours a week; possibility for a 2pm start on Fridays on occasion if needed. The role begins September 8th.
Requirements
- Must be available Monday through Friday from 3pm to 7pm.
- Ability to pick up child from school and navigate the city.
- Experience assisting with homework and studying.
- Reliable and responsible.
Nice To Haves
- French language skills would be a bonus, as the child is taking French in school.
Responsibilities
- Pick up child from school on the Upper West Side (midtown) at 3pm (or 2:15pm on Fridays on occasion).
- Navigate the city/use Ubers with the child.
- Take the child to activities (e.g., tennis) and move him around lower Manhattan.
- Oversee homework at their home or at the tennis club lounge.
- Assist with homework/studying, including exam preparation.
- Ensure the child is completing his homework.
