About The Position

St. Catherine's School is seeking an Afterschool Clubhouse Lead Instructor for its Lower School Afterschool Program. This program serves students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 4. The instructor will be responsible for creating enrichment classes, supervising students, and assisting with homework. The role requires staying current with best practices in elementary education, particularly for girls' education, and establishing positive relationships with parents and faculty. Collaboration with colleagues and support for the school's mission and core values are essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in related field from accredited university, or equivalent
• Demonstrate adaptability to new and evolving technology, and the ability to show innovation and vision related to the efficient processing of information related to this role
• Demonstrate proficiency with oral and written communication
• Ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute creative, age-appropriate enrichment activities for students in JK-grade 4
• Supervise and ensure the safety of students at all times.
• Provide homework assistance and academic support.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program
• Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment, following school protocols
• Build positive relationships with parents/guardians, providing updates on their child's day
