26-27 Afterschool Clubhouse Assistant Instructor PT (20-hrs)
About The Position
St. Catherine's School is seeking an Afterschool Clubhouse Assistant Instructor for its Lower School Afterschool Program, which runs daily for students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 4. The program operates from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The Assistant Instructor will be responsible for creating and executing enrichment classes, supervising students, providing homework assistance, and maintaining a positive learning environment. This role requires staying current with best practices in elementary education, particularly for girls' education, and establishing positive relationships with parents and faculty. The position is part-time, hourly, non-exempt, and follows a 9-month schedule.
Requirements
- High School diploma
- Demonstrate adaptability to new and evolving technology, and the ability to show innovation and vision related to the efficient processing of information related to this role
- Demonstrate proficiency with oral and written communication
- Ability to become CPR and First Aid Certified
Nice To Haves
- Experience is preferred but not necessary for hiring
Responsibilities
- Help to execute creative, age-appropriate enrichment activities for students in JK-grade 4
- Assist the Lead Instructor to supervise and ensure the safety of students at all times
- Provide homework assistance and academic support
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective program
- Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom environment, following school protocols
- Build positive relationships with parents/guardians
