About The Position
A-Z Creativity LLC is an arts education organization that specializes in fostering intentional creativity in children through engagement and exploration in the visual arts. Our classes build confidence and inspire children by intentionally teaching material skills and creating an environment that allows for open-ended exploration and problem solving. This role involves teaching visual arts classes after school throughout the Bay Area. Each position is 2-3 hours per week, with contracts running from September to December, and the possibility of extension. All employment is on-site.
Requirements
- Be able to pass a background check & TB test
- Experience working with children
- Ability to lift 35 lbs, stand and walk for 2 hours, bend, kneel, sit, or crouch.
Nice To Haves
- Expertise/experience in sewing with machines is a must.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining material bin (stored on-site or at a nearby storage unit indicated by [SU] in the posting)
- Teaching pre-written open-ended visual arts curriculum to children ages 3-4 and/or 5-9, unless otherwise specified.
- Maintaining child safety and classroom management
