About The Position

EXPLEO GROUP USA is looking for an Aftersales 12V Technical & Data Specialist to join a dynamic and expanding team in Troy, MI. This role involves serving as the Aftersales Subject Matter Expert (SME) for 12V battery diagnostics, testing procedures, and battery-related field concerns. The specialist will lead technical investigations, analyze battery tester performance, and collaborate with various departments to identify root causes and drive corrective actions. Additionally, the role requires analyzing dealer battery tester data, warranty claims, and vehicle field performance data to develop dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting. The specialist will also utilize advanced analytical techniques and tools to identify trends, provide data-driven recommendations, and support warranty reduction initiatives and aftersales operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, Automotive Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Automotive diagnostics, Electrical systems engineering, Aftersales operations, Warranty analytics, Technical data analysis.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry.
  • Experience using AI-based analytics tools, machine learning models, or predictive analytics applications.
  • Knowledge of automotive aftersales systems, warranty processes, and dealer operations.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards and business intelligence reporting solutions.
  • Automotive OEM, dealership service, warranty, or diagnostic experience.
  • Familiarity with battery tester technologies, telematics data, or connected vehicle analytics.
  • Experience leading large cross-functional task forces or technical working groups.
  • Strong understanding of 12V battery technologies, Vehicle electrical systems, Battery diagnostics, Charging systems, CAN network architectures.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Aftersales Subject Matter Expert (SME) for 12V battery diagnostics, testing procedures, and battery-related field concerns.
  • Lead technical investigations involving battery failures, no-start concerns, charging system performance, and diagnostic process effectiveness.
  • Analyze battery tester performance, software validation results, and diagnostic accuracy studies.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Warranty, Service Engineering, Technical Assistance, Supply Chain, and Supplier organizations to identify root causes and drive corrective actions.
  • Support the development, validation, and continuous improvement of battery testing procedures, service processes, and dealer diagnostic tools.
  • Lead and coordinate a cross-functional 12V Aftersales Task Force to resolve emerging field issues.
  • Facilitate technical reviews, working sessions, and executive-level presentations.
  • Analyze dealer battery tester data, warranty claims, telematics information, repair orders, and vehicle field performance data.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and KPI reporting to monitor battery replacement trends, warranty spend and cost drivers, dealer diagnostic compliance, battery tester effectiveness, vehicle platform performance, and service campaign effectiveness.
  • Identify emerging trends and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Utilize statistical analysis, predictive analytics, machine learning techniques, and AI-enabled tools to improve field issue detection and decision making.
  • Leverage platforms such as Palantir Foundry and other business intelligence tools to support advanced analysis and reporting.
  • Create and present executive-level reports, insights, and recommendations.
  • Drive warranty reduction initiatives through technical analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Collaborate with dealer operations teams to improve service processes and diagnostic effectiveness.
  • Monitor customer feedback and field data to proactively identify product performance concerns.
  • Support service campaigns, technical actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Translate complex technical and analytical findings into practical business recommendations.
