About The Position
Primrose School of Long Grove is seeking passionate individuals to join their Early Childhood Support Team as an Afternoon Support Team member. This role involves supporting students and teachers, building relationships with families, assisting the Chef with kitchen closing duties, and maintaining classroom cleanliness and sanitation. The position is described as the "Beginning of Something Big" and offers a joyful and welcoming childcare environment with on-site leadership invested in employee growth.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills
- Receptive to learning new skills and able to improve with feedback
- Passion for nurturing and educating young children
- No prior experience required; training will be provided
- Available three week nights per from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm
Responsibilities
- Interact with children and families as they head home at the end of the day
- Keep the kitchen clean, work with the chef, and wash dishes
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community
- Wash, fold and manage laundry on a daily basis
- Assist teachers as they clean and prepare classrooms for the following day
