About The Position

St. Andrew's Parks & Playground Commission is hiring a part-time after-school bus & van driver to safely transport children from local schools to our After School Program. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent weekday afternoon schedule during the school year. No CDL required. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM to approximately 4:30 PM, following the Charleston County School District calendar. The starting pay range is $17.00 - $18.50, based on experience.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old to drive a 14-passenger bus OR be at least 18 years old to drive a 7-passenger van
• Valid driver license
• Must maintain a driving record that meets the agency's vehicle insurance eligibility requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to maintain a consistent Monday - Friday afternoon schedule

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with children or youth is preferred

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children in a 14-passenger mini-bus, or a 7-passenger van
• Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain a safe, positive environment for passengers
• Follow all traffic laws and agency safety procedures
• Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and school personnel
