About The Position
We’re looking for a warm, engaging caregiver to support an independent older adult who wants to remain safely and comfortably at home. The client is independently mobile and uses continuous oxygen in the home. Companionship is an important part of this shift.
Requirements
- Have caregiving, healthcare, or relevant family-care experience
- Are comfortable with shower supervision and personal-care support
- Are patient, observant, dependable, and respectful of independence
- Enjoy both companionship and helping maintain a clean, orderly home
- Have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
Responsibilities
- Be present during a daily shower for safety and peace of mind
- Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and planned errands
- Provide genuine companionship through conversation, crosswords, TV, sports, or time outside
- Support independence by asking before taking over
- Follow established safety precautions for a client who uses oxygen 24/7
- Communicate concerns promptly and follow the care plan
