Requirements

Experience tutoring, teaching, or working with school-age children
Must have a driving license
Strong knowledge in core academic subjects such as math, reading, writing, or science
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, encouraging, and adaptable teaching style
Ability to work afternoon/after school hours in four locations - Hillside, Roselle, Rahway and Plainfield.
High school diploma required

College coursework in Education or related field preferred
Reliable, punctual, and committed to student success

Responsibilities

Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions for students (ages 10 - 15) in a variety of subjects
Assess student needs and tailor instructional strategies to support individual learning goals
Assist students with homework, test preparation, and skill-building exercises
Track and monitor student progress and communicate updates to center staff
Create a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment
Collaborate with center staff to align tutoring sessions with student academic plans
Maintain accurate session notes and attendance records
