About The Position

Newton South High School's after school theatre program, South Stage, is looking for a dynamic and engaging director to lead our winter production of Alice in Wonderland. Our production will showcase talents of high school actors and designers with an emphasis on ensemble storytelling and including actors of all abilities and skill levels. This one-act adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s beloved classic will leave you smiling, thinking, and perhaps a little more curious about the world around you.

Requirements

• Experience directing and/or teaching at the college or high school level.

Responsibilities

• Lead the winter production of Alice in Wonderland.
• Showcase talents of high school actors and designers.
• Emphasize ensemble storytelling.
• Include actors of all abilities and skill levels.
• Stage and rehearse a play showcasing students of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and skill levels.
• Collaborate with a team of student designers for set, costumes, props, lighting, and sound.
