About The Position
Discovery Kidzone Montessori School is seeking a Part-Time After School Teacher & Driver for the 2026-2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, staying active, and creating positive afternoon experiences for school-aged children. The school offers paid training, supportive team environments, and opportunities for professional development and career growth. The position emphasizes making children's afternoons safe, active, and enjoyable, going beyond simple supervision to foster fun, friendship, exploration, and confidence.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable driving a 14-passenger van or small bus
- Enjoys working with school-age children
- Positive, patient, dependable, and responsible
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Able to remain calm and organized in a busy environment
- Comfortable participating in indoor and outdoor activities
- CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)
- Ability to complete all required Montana licensing and training requirements
Nice To Haves
- No previous childcare experience required
Responsibilities
- Safely transport children from local schools to Discovery Kidzone and scheduled activities
- Follow all required transportation and safety procedures
- Supervise children and create a positive, supportive environment
- Lead outdoor games, recreational activities, creative projects, and group experiences
- Encourage teamwork, friendship, independence, and problem-solving
- Keep children engaged through play, creativity, and exploration
- Assist with snacks, restroom routines, transitions, and daily activities
- Build positive relationships with children and families
- Communicate professionally with families and fellow team members
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Work with the team to ensure smooth daily program operations
