About The Position
Sunset Montessori School is seeking part-time hourly employees for its after-school program. This program operates five days a week from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM and focuses on providing comprehensive aftercare for children aged 1.5-7 years. The activities include art, music, dance, and physical sports. This position is ideal for individuals in a teaching program looking to gain experience in the field. The school emphasizes Montessori Methodology and maintains small class ratios in a nurturing environment.
Requirements
- DCF staff certificate required to work with preschool-aged children.
- CPR certificate.
- Level 2 fingerprints (assistance available for obtaining).
- Ability to work well with families and other team members.
- Responsible and consistent scheduling.
- Ability to develop after-school activities and engage children.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual (English-Spanish language) is a plus.
- Proper references with related experiences.
- Experience as a Montessori teacher assistant is a plus.
- Willingness to commit through June 2026 at a minimum.
Responsibilities
