About The Position

The YMCA afterschool program is seeking a part-time Site Director to oversee the program at one of many elementary schools throughout Belton ISD. This role involves guiding staff and impacting the lives of children from Preschool to 5th grade by providing a safe environment through leading games, songs, sports, and special events. The Site Director will also design program curriculum, maintain supplies, motivate and train staff, serve as a model site for new hires, and conduct site visits to other schools. Responsibilities include connecting with parents during pick-up, ensuring timely and accurate record-keeping and school checklists, and managing and developing a team of 5+ counselors.

Requirements

At least 2 years experience in a previous YMCA leadership role or licensed Child Care preferred.
Required 6 months of Licensed childcare experience or experience in a public/private accredited school.
At least 30 clock hours of training in child/youth development received in the last two months, with documentation.
Must meet minimum requirements to become an Operational Director certified through Texas Health & Human Services within 30 days or have an approved written plan.
Must be 21 years of age with High School diploma.
Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and show proof of insurability.
Have experience supervising and motivating a team.
Effective budgetary and programmatic experience.
Must be able to pass a drug test and background checks.

Connect with parents about program activities and their child's day during pick-up.
Ensure record keeping and school checklists are timely and accurate.
Manage and develop a team of 5+ counselors in a mentor role to achieve a quality afterschool program.
