About The Position

Join the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Bay & Lakes Region as a Site Lead and help create a safe, supportive, and engaging after-school environment where kids can learn, grow, and have fun. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, building positive relationships, leading a team, and making a meaningful impact in their community. As a Site Lead, you'll help guide daily programming, support staff, and be a positive role model for youth every day.

Requirements

  • Enjoy working with children and being a positive role model
  • Bring positive energy, leadership, and a team-first attitude
  • Are dependable, organized, and able to work independently
  • Have strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
  • Can motivate others through positive reinforcement and lead a group of up to 15 youth
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and professionalism when working with youth, families, and teammates
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years or older

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience working with elementary students
  • Experience working with children in a group setting and from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience with program planning, development, or implementation
  • Experience directing or supporting staff and volunteers
  • An interest in Education, Child Psychology, Human Development, Social Work, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Support the Site Manager with daily program operations, safety, and supervision
  • Lead engaging academic, enrichment, and youth development activities
  • Provide leadership and support to staff and volunteers
  • Supervise youth and maintain accurate attendance, check-in, and pick-up procedures
  • Build positive relationships with youth and families and promote positive behavior
  • Help create smooth transitions throughout the program and maintain a safe, positive environment
  • Communicate with families, school staff, and teammates about program needs, events, and concerns
  • Complete required program documentation and help monitor supplies, equipment, and other site needs
  • Support family and school events and help promote Club membership
