Under the direction of the Site Supervisor, this role facilitates and implements program activities, provides instruction for school students, and supervises program students. The After School Program Leader is responsible for supervising and delivering instruction to a classroom of students, facilitating their participation in hands-on, engaging, and experiential learning activities that promote curiosity, collaboration, and academic growth. This role involves working with and instructing school students individually and/or in small and large groups, while maintaining appropriate program ratios. The leader will implement effective classroom management, discipline, and instructional strategies, set up activities daily, prepare and duplicate materials, and operate instructional equipment. Monitoring and evaluating student progress, maintaining daily attendance logs and other required records, and keeping the classroom or learning facility clean, organized, and healthy are also key responsibilities. Supervision of students both in and out of the classroom during various activities, maintaining frequent parent communication, and attending staff meetings/planning/training sessions are also required. Job-related duties as assigned will also be performed.
