About The Position
Join our After School Enrichment Team! This role involves providing fun and safe activities for children during after-school hours. You will be responsible for creating a safe learning environment, implementing curriculum for various enrichment classes, building rapport with parents and participants, serving as a positive role model, collaborating with volunteers, and transporting equipment to school sites.
Requirements
- Must pass YMCA background check
- Availability Mon-Thursday between 2:30-5:30pm
- Possess (or obtain within 90 days) a current CPR/AED & First Aid Certification
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation
- Ability to adequately observe participant activities, enforce safety regulations and apply appropriate management techniques
- Must have reliable transportation
