After-School Program Facilitator
About The Position
Snapology of Lancaster is seeking a Part-Time Program Instructor to lead engaging, hands-on programs that inspire children to build, create, collaborate, and solve problems. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for working with children, such as college students, education majors, substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, homeschool parents, or retirees looking for meaningful part-time work with a consistent schedule. The position involves leading fun, hands-on STEM/enrichment classes using provided curriculum and materials, creating a positive and inclusive environment, and representing Snapology positively to children, families, and partners.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a group or structured setting (teaching certification not required).
- Friendly, outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to confidently lead activities after completing training.
- Availability for four afternoons/evenings each week.
- Reliable transportation to the Snapology center and local partner locations.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to successfully complete federal, state, and child abuse background checks.
- Dependable, organized, and enthusiastic with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities
- Lead engaging, hands-on STEM/STEAM enrichment classes using Snapology's provided curriculum, LEGO® Bricks, robotics, and other interactive learning tools.
- Create a positive, inclusive environment where children build confidence, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Adapt instruction to engage children ages 4–14 in after-school programs at the Snapology center and local schools.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and school partners.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming learning environment.
- Set up program materials before classes and clean up afterward.
