About The Position

The After School Program Aide will assist in various duties that support the program and permanent staff. This role involves participating in the day-to-day operations of the After School Program, including assisting with snack distribution, monitoring participants, leading activities, and ensuring safe check-in/check-out procedures. The aide will also support with cleaning and resetting program areas, as well as the kitchen and dining area, and perform other related duties as required. The Salvation Army is an organization with a religious purpose, and employees are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that does not conflict with its religious mission. This is an at-will employment position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CA driver’s license
  • 21 years of age
  • Experience working in an after-school program
  • Experience with Microsoft programs

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the After School Program
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings
  • Provide snacks to the after-school program participants
  • Assist with the monitoring of program participants during activities
  • Take the lead in program activities
  • Assist with the transportation of program participants
  • Ensure the safe check-in and check-out of children participating in the after-school program
  • Assist with cleaning and resetting program areas
  • Assist with cleaning of the kitchen and dining area
  • Other related duties as required
