About The Position

Jovie Nannies + Sitters is seeking qualified and experienced After School Nannies for afternoon availability between 2 PM and 7 PM. We have multiple families in various areas looking for reliable individuals to care for children ranging from 1 month old up to 8 years old. This role involves engaging children in fun, age-appropriate activities within their homes, such as playing, reading, and arts and crafts. Communication with parents and coworkers is valued, and reliable transportation is essential for commuting to assignments.

Requirements

• Genuinely enjoy children and be an engaging, creative, child-focused individual.
• Willing to have fun, play, read, do arts and crafts, and similar activities in families' homes.
• Value communication with parents and coworkers.
• Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license to commute to assignments.
• At least 1 year of day-to-day childcare experience.
• Able to provide 3 references, 2 related to working with children (paid or unpaid), and 1 character reference.
• At least 18 years of age or older.
• Reliability is important.
• 2+ year(s) childcare, babysitter or nanny experience, preferably including infant and toddler experience.
• Must have a reliable insured vehicle for travel to family homes.
• Minimum age of 18, valid driver’s license.
• Hold a high school diploma/GED.
• CPR trained or willing to receive training.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with children of the ages for which you have previous experience (infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary ages).

Responsibilities

• Care for children in their homes.
• Engage children by providing safety and leading hands-on activities based on observations of the children’s age-appropriate development.
• Perform common sense clean-up of your activities and meals with the child.
