About The Position
A family in York, ME is seeking a dependable, energetic caregiver for their 5-year-old son who is starting kindergarten. This role primarily focuses on after-school care, with potential for additional hours and overnights during occasional work travel. Requirements
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
- Active, patient, and warm approach to managing an energetic kindergartener
- Highly dependable, punctual, and flexible
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
- Must pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- CPR and First Aid certified
- Background/studies in Education, Early Childhood Education, Nursing, OT, Psychology, or Social Work
Responsibilities
- Safely pick up the child from school or the bus stop each weekday
- Prepare light afternoon snacks and supervise care
- Engage the child in active outdoor play, creative activities, games, and reading
- Support simple kindergarten homework or reading practice as needed
- Maintain clear communication with mom regarding daily routines and schedule
Benefits
- Compensation: $22–$28 per hour (commensurate with experience)
