About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic and engaging After School Instructors to lead our Cooking and Nutrition & STEAM programs for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. This role involves facilitating hands-on learning experiences that combine culinary arts with science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. Instructors will be responsible for managing classroom activities, ensuring a safe and fun learning environment, and fostering a love for learning in young students.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
• Passion for cooking, nutrition, and/or STEAM education.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain a safe environment.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Background check may be required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in curriculum development.
• Knowledge of specific STEAM disciplines (e.g., coding, robotics, engineering principles).
• Culinary or nutrition certification.
• First Aid/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and instruct K-5th grade students in Cooking and Nutrition & STEAM programs.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with program goals.
• Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
• Provide guidance and support to students during program activities.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
• Maintain program materials and equipment.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of diverse learners.
