About The Position
We are seeking enthusiastic and creative After School Instructors to lead engaging classes in Fashion, Pottery, and STEM for students in grades K-5. This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling, primarily Monday through Friday, with classes running between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM in 60-minute blocks. Multiple class date options are available.
Requirements
- Experience working with children in a K-5th grade setting.
- Passion for and knowledge in Fashion, Pottery, or STEM subjects.
- Ability to manage a classroom and engage young learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in curriculum development for after-school programs.
- Background in multiple subjects (Fashion, Pottery, STEM).
- First Aid/CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct students in Fashion, Pottery, and STEM programs.
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Adapt curriculum to meet the needs of K-5th grade students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and program coordinators.
- Prepare materials and set up classrooms for each session.
- Oversee students during class time, ensuring engagement and participation.
