About The Position

Wellan Montessori School is seeking creative and collaborative production professionals to join our After School Drama Team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about theater education and eager to help students bring a production to life from staging to sound. Our Drama Program meets weekly throughout the semester starting from 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM with extended classes closer to the performance. Our teaching rate starts at $45 an hour. There are two positions available: Drama Tech Teacher and Chorus / Musical Director.

Requirements

• Experience in theater production, technical theater, choral directing, or music education.
• Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in an after-school or camp setting.
• Strong organizational and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with the Drama Director and fellow production staff to execute a cohesive vision for the school production.
• Lead structured, engaging, and age-appropriate afternoon rehearsals or technical workshops.
• Create a supportive and inclusive environment where students of all skill levels can build confidence and theater skills.
