About The Position

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Aftercare Coordinator to supervise students and aides in the school's aftercare program at Valle Catholic ECDC, a vibrant Catholic school community in Ste. Genevieve. The Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO serves as the headquarters for the Archdiocese. The Aftercare Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for students in the after-school care program.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a school, childcare, camp, or similar setting preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise multiple students while maintaining a safe and engaging environment.
• Dependable, patient, and able to work collaboratively with school staff and families.
• Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the after-school care program, ensuring a safe, positive, and welcoming environment.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, games, crafts, and recreational opportunities.
• Monitor student behavior and encourage respectful, Christ-centered interactions.
• Supervise and provide guidance to aftercare aides and student assistants.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure students are released only to authorized individuals.
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and school administration regarding student needs or concerns.
• Ensure classrooms and activity areas remain clean, organized, and secure.
• Follow all school policies and safety procedures, including emergency protocols.
