About The Position

LIFT Enrichment is seeking enthusiastic Chef Teachers to lead fun, hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools. Since 2010, LIFT Enrichment has taught over 75,000 students and built a team of over 200 Chef Teachers. No professional chef experience is required as training is provided. The role involves teaching elementary school-aged children (K-8th grade) basic cooking, nutrition, and kitchen safety through provided curriculum. Responsibilities include leading workshops, managing setup, cooking, and cleanup, grocery shopping, ingredient preparation, and transporting program supplies. The position is seasonal and part-time, with a rate of $28/hour and a schedule of Monday-Friday, 2-3 days per week, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A typical day includes teaching two workshops, with approximately 5 hours of paid work covering preparation, teaching, and cleanup.

Responsibilities

Lead groups of 15–20 students (K-8th grade) through hands-on cooking activities.
Teach fun, healthy recipes using our provided curriculum.
Introduce kids to basic cooking, nutrition, and kitchen safety.
Keep students engaged, excited, and involved.
Manage setup, cooking, and cleanup.
Grocery shop and prep ingredients as needed.
Transport program supplies to the school.
