After-School Cooking Teacher
About The Position
Join LIFT Enrichment and teach healthy culinary workshops in Title I school districts. We’ve taught over 75,000 students since 2010 and are looking for passionate individuals to join our team of 200+ Chef Teachers. Why Join Us? Rewarding Work: Help students in Title 1 school districts learn essential life skills. Great Pay: We compensate for grocery shopping, prep, teaching, and cleanup. Single Workshop: approximately 3.5 hours pay. Double Workshop: approximately 5 hours pay. Perks: Paid training and mileage reimbursement. Note: This is a Seasonal/Part-Time Employment, perfect for retired teachers or college students.
Requirements
- Availability: 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM, 2–4 days a week.
- Experience working with kids: i.e. summer camp counselor, retired teacher, etc.
- Experience cooking: i.e. basic meals (no formal or professional chef experience is required)
- Logistics: Must have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Lead groups of 15–20 students
- Transport provided culinary kits
- Teach fun recipes from our curriculum like: i.e. Black Bean Quesadillas and Crispy Chicken Tenders.
