About The Position

Sticky Fingers Cooking is seeking enthusiastic part-time After School Children's Enrichment Cooking Instructors in the Parker Area to cultivate culinary curiosity in kids. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about cooking, experienced with children, and seeking a fun, flexible, and meaningful part-time job. The position offers the opportunity to teach children about cooking, nutrition, and healthy eating habits, with classes typically held on weekdays between 1-5 PM. Sticky Fingers Cooking provides all necessary tools, training, and recipes, fostering a supportive and fun learning environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds.
• Availability to teach at least 2 days a week between 2-5 PM, Mondays-Fridays.
• Must be available starting at 2 PM.
• Comfortable managing groups of 8-14 kids.
• Ability to arrive on campus 20-30 minutes prior to scheduled class time.
• Commitment to teaching sessions that run 4-12 weeks.
• Willingness to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Must have a reliable vehicle and be able to drive.
• Must undergo a fingerprint background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead hands-on cooking classes, teaching children how to chop, mix, measure, and create healthy recipes.
• Introduce children to new ingredients, cuisines, and cultures in an engaging and interactive way.
• Prepare for classes using provided curricula, shop for ingredients, and set up safe kitchen environments.
• Inspire and encourage children as they gain confidence in the kitchen.
• Travel to different schools to conduct classes.
• Teach essential cooking skills, food safety, and the history and culture behind each dish.
