About The Position

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking multiple dedicated After School Childcare Directors to lead their programs in Las Vegas, NM. This dynamic role involves creating engaging experiences for children filled with fun, growth, and connection, while inspiring children and building meaningful relationships. The position is part-time, scheduled from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on school days, for the 2026-2027 school year, with the potential for long-term employment. The role offers a unique opportunity to shape a positive environment for children and provides employer-paid childcare for the director's own children enrolled in the program.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Option A: CDA, CCP, Montessori certification, National Administrator Credential (NAC), or Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development + at least 2 years of experience in early childhood or school-age/out-of-school time setting.
  • Option B: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field + at least 1 year of experience in early childhood or school-age care.
  • Must successfully pass all required state background checks.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including bending, stretching, lifting, and carrying up to 50 pounds, and actively engaging with energetic children.
  • Demonstrates a positive, professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills when working with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Consistent record of reliability and punctuality.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure staff and program operations consistently meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements.
  • Plan and lead engaging, hands-on activities aligned with the Healthy Kids curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support.
  • Oversee daily operations including attendance tracking, registration updates, scheduling, and staffing support.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and caregivers using the Playground App.
  • Work closely with your direct supervisor and team to share updates, solve problems proactively, and maintain a positive and supportive program culture.
