About The Position

The Village School is seeking an After School Care provider to support its After Class Enrichment (ACE) program. This role involves supervising, teaching, and mentoring students from early childhood through middle school, creating a safe, structured, and engaging environment that complements classroom learning. The Village School is a private college preparatory school with a global network, committed to academic excellence and developing lifelong learners and global citizens.

Requirements

• High school diploma or degree.
• Proficiency in English and Microsoft 365 for rosters, email, and activity planning.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of actively supervising students and supporting activities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• One or more years of experience working with children.
• Knowledge of student safety practices and procedures for maintaining a structured program.
• Ability to help plan activities, prepare classrooms, update rosters, and track supplies.
• Reliable, punctual, caring, patient, and energetic.
• Calm when guiding student behavior and monitoring safety.
• Able to communicate and collaborate with students, families, vendors, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with young children is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during after school activities, transitions, and vendor classes in accordance with campus health and safety standards.
• Lead or support activities and crafts, and collaborate with the ACE team on lesson plans.
• Prepare classrooms, maintain supplies, and assist with roster changes.
• Support vendor classes, student transitions, and carpool.
• Provide daily Lower and Middle School lunch support and assist with other division requests as needed.
• Support spring break and other one day camps hosted by the program.
• Communicate with parents, vendors, students, and school colleagues to support the program.
