About The Position
To empower students to embrace a biblical worldview through spiritual & academic growth, servant leadership, and authentic relationships in the name of Jesus Christ. Assist in providing instruction and supervision of preschool and PreK children. The role routinely involves physical activity, cleaning of supplies, etc., providing children with a structured and safe environment, and nurturing children. Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external groups, including parents, visitors, church staff, and faculty/staff. Represent ECS to the community. Set a mature example of spiritual growth and application of Biblical principles.
Requirements
- High School Junior or Senior Preferred
- Demonstrates capacity to love and lead children.
- Ability to communicate with children, parents, office staff, church staff, and co-workers.
- Model personal integrity.
- Physically fulfill the job duties.
- Arrive on time and work the full shift assigned.
Responsibilities
- Care of Preschool and PreK children, including being active, getting down on the floor, actively playing with children, playing games, participating in projects, tending to minor injuries, providing a variety of learning activities and experiences, and modeling social skills.
- Assist ASC staff in supervising children, be responsible for their safety; focus on students' spiritual, physical, social, and emotional growth.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the employee manual and BASC manual.
- Set a mature and healthy example of spiritual growth and application of Biblical principles for students, co-workers, and families.
- Follow sign-in, sign-out procedures and always keep correct count of children.
- Report any medical attention needed to the program supervisor/director.
- Assist in appropriate classroom management and discipline for the class and for each child.
- Take responsibility to leave all areas clean and orderly.
- Arrive early to be in the assigned area on time.
- Store personal belongings in the area provided.
- Do not take phone calls or refer to digital devices while supervising students.
- If you receive a text from your supervisor/director, you may check and respond to it quickly and then put it away.
- Be supportive of ECS staff and policies.
- Perform other school related duties as requested by the program supervisor/director.
