A caring family in Lewis Center is seeking a kind, patient, and engaging support person for their 10-year-old autistic son. He is well-behaved, friendly, and a joy to be around. We’re hoping to find someone who can be a positive “buddy," supporting him as he builds social skills, confidence, and meaningful connections in the community. The role involves engaging him in community outings and activities, supporting social interaction and communication in natural settings, taking him swimming and participating in fun, age-appropriate activities, encouraging independence through play and shared experiences, and providing calm, consistent, and respectful support. The child enjoys reading, sensory toys, and hands-on activities and thrives with positive encouragement and clear routines. The ideal candidate is warm, reliable, and patient, comfortable being active and engaging in the community, and has a genuine interest in building a trusting, supportive relationship.
