About The Position
Hope Hospice, a non-profit community-led agency established in 1980, is seeking a full-time After-Hours Charge Nurse. This role is responsible for coordinating the activities of the After-Hours staff to ensure proper care for patients. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Science in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience in hospice setting required.
- Current license as a registered professional nurse in the State of California.
Nice To Haves
- Public Health Nursing certification highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Under the direction of the After-Hours Manager, address problems associated with the delivery of clinical services.
- Ensure adequate daily staffing after-hours by interacting with staff and coordinating with the After-Hours Manager and administrative assistant.
- Conduct appropriate supervisory visits to allow for clinical observation of performance of assigned team members in accordance with organization policy, accreditation, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor compliance with agency policies and procedures related to clinical services.
- Assist After-Hours Manager in identifying needs for staff education and in the development and implementation of in-service programs for after-hours nursing staff.
