About The Position

The Aftercare Teacher will supervise students in grades K–5 during our after-school program, help maintain a safe and positive environment, and support students with homework completion, enrichment activities, and recreation.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years-old
• Must be a high school graduate
• Strong classroom management skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families
• Positive attitude, reliability, and professionalism
• Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
• Must undergo Florida Background Check Process with Clearinghouse
• Must undergo vetting procedures, including online due diligence search, references and satisfactory Criminal Background Checks or equivalent covering the previous 10 years’ employment history.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage students during aftercare hours
• Assist students with homework and academic support
• Facilitate structured games, activities, and enrichment opportunities
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment
• Monitor student behavior and reinforce school expectations
• Communicate professionally with parents and staff
• Ensure accurate student sign-out procedures are followed
• Support dismissal and transition routines as needed
