About The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and caring After Care Assistant to join our after-school program for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, creating a positive environment, and leading engaging activities that make the end of the school day fun and meaningful.

Requirements

Enthusiastic, energetic, patient, and dependable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Comfortable leading both indoor and outdoor activities.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with elementary-aged children is preferred.
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain)

Responsibilities

Supervise and actively engage with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade during the after-school program.
Plan and lead age-appropriate games, crafts, STEM activities, outdoor play, and other enrichment opportunities.
Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where every child feels supported.
Encourage positive behavior and model kindness, respect, and responsibility.
Build positive relationships with students while promoting teamwork and social development.
Assist with daily routines, including attendance, snack time, transitions, and dismissal.
Set up and clean up activity spaces and materials.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and fellow staff members.
Follow all school policies and safety procedures.
