About The Position

Mercy Housing is seeking an Affordable Housing Project Manager I to lead the finance, development, and acquisition of affordable, multi-family housing in Atlanta. The successful candidate will be connected with the affordable housing community in Atlanta and will serve as a resource for other team members. This position is hybrid-eligible.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Planning, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in low-income housing development work.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Superior written and verbal communication and relationship management skills.
  • Highly effective problem-solving and flexibility while remaining focused on solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Planning, or related field.
  • Certification in Real Estate Development.

Responsibilities

  • Review sites or projects for potential development of new construction, complexes for potential acquisition, or potential re-syndication opportunities.
  • Lead others in the application process and fully navigate through Mercy's approval process.
  • Engage and solve issues directly with internal/external parties.
  • Prepare feasibility or project analysis responding to project criteria, including identification of needs, project risks, property rehabilitation needs, population served, financial feasibility, and community plan as needed.
  • Execute job tasks (duties) with final review by Project Developer II or higher.
  • Other duties as assigned.
